이제 시작입니다. M.A.P6를 소개하겠습니다. M.A.P6는 걸그룹 걸스데이(소진 유라 민아 혜리)를 발굴, 육성하여 명실상부한 스타로 키운 드림티엔터테인먼트에서 선보이는 첫 남성 5인조 아이돌 그룹입니다. 2015년 11월 10일(화)! 15개월의 혹독한 연습생 기간을 거친 민혁(김민혁 23) 제이준(김영준21), 싸인(김기호21), 썬(강병선20), 제이빈(박종빈19)이 이제 데뷔와 동시에 그 꿈을 향한 날개 짓을 시작합니다. 이들 중 4명은 3년 전인 2012년 에이프린스라는 그룹명으로 가요계에 데뷔한 이력이 있습니다. 드림티엔터테인먼트는 지난해 이들을 영입하고 새로운 조각을 시작했습니다. 에이프린스의 기존 멤버 1명이 군에 입대하고 새로운 멤버 싸인을 보컬로 투입, 그룹명도 M.A.P.6라 새로 명했습니다. 그리고 15개월간 그야말로 맹연습을 하였습니다. M.A.P.6는 M:arch(행진하다) A:round(둘레를) the P:lanet(지구, 행성) ‘세계를 행진한다’는 의미에 5(멤버)+1(팬)=6의 의미를 더해 만들어진 그룹명입니다. 즉 5명의 멤버가 팬들의 응원으로 5대양 6대주를 돌며 월드투어를 할 수 있는 그룹이 되겠다는 포부를 담고 있습니다. 그렇게 다시 태어났습니다. 다시 시작하기에 누구보다 열심히 더 절실히 준비했습니다. M.A.P6 이제 시작입니다. 데뷔 타이틀곡을 소개합니다. M.A.P6가 첫 데뷔곡으로 내놓은 ‘Storm’은 임창정, SG워너비 등과 함께 작업한 작곡팀 새벽3시의 작품으로 과거와 현재, 미래의 감성이 공존하는 느낌을 최대한 살리려 노력한 곡입니다. 강렬하면서도 서정성이 극대화 된 이곡은 새로운 타입의 PB 힙합(하이브리드 힙합) 장르로써 전세계를 강타한 PB R&B를 국내 힙합장르에 도입시켜 남성 아이돌이 보여줄 수 있는 댄스 퍼포먼스의 강렬한 힘과 랩과 멜로디로 전달할 수 있는 감성의 조화를 최고로 끌어 올렸다는 평입니다. 폭풍의 절망 속에서 나를 구원할 것은 오로지 ‘사랑’이라는 주제를 어둡고 강한 어휘와 색채으로 표현했지만 언젠가 꼭 한줄기 빛이 자신을 구원하리라는 강한 믿음을 그린 이야기입니다. 쟈니브로스의 홍원기 감독은 뮤직비디오를 통해 ‘Storm'이 표현하고자 하는 색채감과 컨셉을 잘 표현하고 있습니다. 수록곡 ‘휘파람’은 M.A.P6의 소속사 선배인 걸스데이가 2014년 1월 ‘썸씽’과 함께 발표한 곡을 M.A.P6가 리메이크한 버전입니다. 수록곡 1.
