2011년 여름 결성된 SinaKowan Trio는 재즈 보컬리스트 Sina Hyunju Nam(한국), 어커스틱 기타 Regis Coisne(프랑스), 그리고 드럼과 퍼쿠션의 Laurent Coudurier(프랑스)로 구성된 3인조 재즈 밴드다. 이미 Sina와 Regis는 2007년부터 Jazz Folk Duo SinaKowan으로 활동해 왔고, 이번에 드러머 Laurent을 영입해 Sinakowan Trio를 결성하게 되었다. 다양한 음악의 경계를 넘나들며, 새로운 음악적 시도를 계속해 나가는 SinaKowan Trio. 그들의 음악은 어커스틱 기타를 통해 풍성한 사운드를 창조해 내는 Regis의 상상력 위에, 순수한 목소리로 또 다른 세계를 그려내는 Sina의 보컬 그리고 그 둘의 빈 공간을 자연스럽게 채워주는 Laurent의 드럼으로 놀라운 앙상블을 이루어 낸다. 보다 대중적인 느낌의 곡들로 구성된 SinaKowan Trio의 “So Nice” 총 13곡의 자작곡들로 빼곡히 채운 이번 앨범의 타이틀 곡은 So Nice. 그 외 우쿨렐레로 표현한 Alvorada(새벽), On my way는 담백하지만, 신비로운 사운드를 만들어낸다. Jazz-Folk Duo SinaKowan 보컬리스트 Sina Hyunju Nam과 어커스틱 기타리스트 Regis Coisne으로 구성된 재즈포크 듀오 Sinakowan. 재즈, 보사노바, 팝 등 다양한 장르의 음악을 어커스틱한 사운드로 편곡해 주로 파리를 무대로 활동하던 중, 프랑스 알비에르 월드뮤직페스티발에 초대를 받으며 한국음악으로 그 활동을 넓히게 된다. 재즈 라디오 방송 Aligre FM JAZZBOX 에 초대되어 라이브 공연을 한 것을 인연으로 영국의 Plaza Mayor Company 의 러브콜을 받아, 1집 "Sinakowan, Korean Music Jazz-Folk" 를 2008년 3월 발매했었다. |
